Velpha
Velpha (formerly Lambda) is a free AI investment copilot: review portfolio risk and dividends, discover stocks and funds, and simulate trades before buying.
Velpha (formerly Lambda) is an AI-powered investment copilot for individual investors. It helps you pick stocks and funds, understand your risk, and review your portfolio. All features are currently free, with no credit card required.
Velpha offers four tools for everyday decisions. Portfolio lets you add the stocks and funds you hold and see your risk and dividend yield on gauges, plus the dividends you can expect each month of the year. Market Sonar helps you find new names: pick a country on the world map to list the funds that invest there and its stocks, then compare their moves and risk. Trade Simulator lets you drag a name you are considering into your plan to see its score and whether it is likely to improve things, before any money moves. Calendar brings US and Japanese economic releases, elections, and earnings and dividend dates for what you hold into one place, and can send them to Google Calendar.
Velpha also includes a four-chapter Learn to invest guide, an eight-question investing habits quiz, and a Crash Survival game that walks you through investing from age 25 to 100 through repeated crashes.
Pros:
- Free to use, no credit card required
- Covers portfolio review, discovery, simulation and calendar in one place
- Dividend tracking shows expected monthly payouts
- No sign-up needed to try the tools
Cons:
- Built for individual investors, not professional traders
- Relatively new service under the Velpha name (rebranded from Lambda in November 2025)
